Mobile Device Protection Plan

Enrolling in the Videotron Mobile Device Protection Program is easy! Simply sign up when you buy your new phone or device, and your protection starts immediately.

Please note that your device must be fully operational at the time of program enrollment in order to enroll.

Protection includes accidental damage and mechanical and/or electrical malfunction (after the original manufacturer’s warranty expires).

Pricing* is $11 per month, with Repair Deductibles ranging from $39 to $399, and Replacement Deductibles ranging from $99 to $399.

Coverage: you are eligible to two approved claims in a consecutive 12-month period.

Each claim is subject to a maximum monetary limit of ranging between $599.99 to $3,000 depending on your device's tier.

1A Non-Return Fee may be charged if you do not return the Device within 30 days of receipt of a replacement device.

2A Locked Device Fee may be charged if you do not return the Device to us unlocked.

A deductible must be paid before you repair your device or receive your replacement equipment and is non-refundable.

A claim conversion fee equal to the difference between the Screen Repair Deductible paid and the All Other Damage Repair/Replacement Deductible due will be charged if the device has damage beyond the screen or cannot be repaired and you elect to have it replaced.

How much does it cost?

Subscribers Enrolled in the Videotron Mobile Device Protection Program pay $11 per month with. Repair Deductibles from $39 to $399, and Replacement Deductibles ranging from $99 to $399.

Will I be charged tax on this program?

All program costs, fees, and charges are subject to applicable taxes.

When do I file a Claims?

If your device is accidentally damaged, file a Claims. The Claims must be filed within 60 days of the incident.

You can also file a Claims if your device experiences an electrical or mechanical malfunction following the expiration of the original manufacturer’s warranty.

Electrical or mechanical malfunctions in these first 12 months that are no cause of your own are generally covered by your manufacturer’s warranty.

A manufacturer's warranty (in-warranty) is provided by your phone manufacturer and is generally valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

How do I file a claim?

Our claim process is fast, easy, and secure. Simply gather your personal information, incident details, and visit our claim page.

What determines if the repair option is available?

Location, device make/model, type of damage, and repair or replacement part availability can influence the choices of replacement vs. repair. For example, brand new models may not be available for repair right away, and certain types of damage such as liquid damage are not eligible for repair.

Can I go to any phone repair location?

No. To ensure quality, all repairs must be completed through one of Likewize’s authorized partners. When the claim is complete, repair partners and the method of repair in the area will be presented. Once a repair partner is selected, you can visit any of their locations with a valid claim and have the repair completed.

What if there’s not a repair location near me, but I don’t want to replace my device?

Don’t worry, we have repair partners who accept device via mail. We will send you a prepaid label, all you need to do is package your device and drop it in a Canada Post mail box. It will be repaired and returned to you within 3-5 business days.

What happens if the repair provider cannot fix the device?

If the phone is unrepairable, you could be given the option of a replacement device. If you choose to replace the device, you must retrieve the device from the repair vendor and contact Likewize. Please note that if the device is unrepairable and you choose to have it replaced, you will be required to pay the Claim Conversion Fee – the difference between the Repair Deductible and Replacement Deductible before a replacement can be ordered.

If I receive a replacement or repaired phone as the result of an approved claim, am I protected for the new device?

Yes. Your replacement device also comes with a 12-month warranty. Repaired devices come with a 90 day warranty on all repairs.

What happens if I have an issue with my device after repair?

All repair work is guaranteed for 90 days. Simply click on Start a Claim and file your repair warranty claim.

What does my program protect?

The Videotron Protection Program provides protection for accidental damage. The program also provides protection for malfunction (after the manufacturer's warranty expires).

How many claim am I allowed?

You’re protected for 2 accidental damage claim in any continuing 12 month period*.

When can I enroll?

Our enrollment process is quick and painless. Simply sign up when you activate your new device and your coverage will start immediately. Please note that your device must be fully operational at the time of program activation in order to enroll.

Will I get the same phone for an approved replacement claim?

Replacements are often new but on occasion may be reconditioned. While reconditioned equipment looks and functions just like new, it may have minor cosmetic flaws and contain non-original manufacturer parts and accessories. If the exact make and model is not available, your replacement will be of like kind and quality. Please note that color is not guaranteed.

Am I required to pay a claim deductible fee before I get my replacement device?

Yes. You are required to pay a service replacement or repair fee for each approved claim. For your exact service replacement or repair fee, go to My Plan and sign in.

What are the acceptable payment methods for my deductibles?

Deductibles can be paid by Visa, Mastercard, or American Express credit cards. deductible cannot be charged to your Videotron invoice. Please note that Prepaid Credit Cards of any type cannot be accepted for payment of this fee.

How will I be billed?

Your program payment will be added to your monthly credit card bill. This charge will display as Device Protection.

How do I cancel?

You may cancel your coverage included with under this policy at any time by (i) mailing or delivering to us advance written notice to Likewize Device Protection, Ltd., 1235 Bay Street, Suite 400, Toronto, ON M5R 3K4, (ii) by calling the Administrator at 1-844-376-7726, or (iii) emailing the Administrator at Cancellation@Likewize.com. If providing written notice via mail or email, please include your first and last name, the phone number assigned to the device you wish to cancel, and the make, model, and IMEI (Example, Samsung Galaxy S23 and 15-digit IMEI) of the Insured Device. The effective date of cancellation is the date that written notice is received by the Administrator

What should I do with my damaged device once I receive a replacement?

If your device was accidentally damaged and your claim is approved for a replacement device, you'll need to ship your broken device to Likewize Device Protection.

Please use the box and packaging materials that your replacement device came in to return your current device: Attach the included shipping label, and drop off at any Canada Post location mailbox.

Act quickly! Failure to do so within 30 days may result in equipment and processing fees of up to $1500.

    Service requests/claims may be fulfilled with new or reconditioned equipment. Reconditioned equipment may have minor cosmetic flaws. Replacement of ‘accessories’ may be with generic or non-original manufacturer accessories. If the exact model is not available, the replacement will be of like kind and quality. You are not required to purchase the protection program to activate wireless service. This protection may provide a duplicate of other sources of protection. You may cancel at any time.

    The Program is a replacement service provided to customers of Videotron. The service contract is provided and administered by Likewize Device Protection, Ltd.

    For enrollments on or after January 23, 2025, Videotron Mobile Device Protection Program is an insurance offering. Policies are underwritten by Zurich Insurance Company Ltd (Canadian Branch), distributed by Videotron Ltd. and administered by Likewize Device Protection, Ltd.
